There are a number of different lists and databases which identify resources and service providers in the family justice system in Alberta, but not one comprehensive source of information. One of the early opportunities that the Reforming the Family Justice System initiative has embraced, has been to bring together the various organizations that provide public access to service information, with the goal of creating a comprehensive and accessible access point.
We anticipate that this work will encourage sharing, coordination and ultimately the creation of a single resource for family justice services in Alberta.
The current resource databases that we are working with include:
Inventory of Government-Based Family Justice Services (Federal)
Legal Aid Alberta
Resolution and Court Administration Services: Family Justice Services
The Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project
